Mechanical Insulation

Improve the quality and consistency of mechanical systems, increase heating and cooling performance and efficiency, and reduce overall operating costs with expertly applied mechanical insulation products.

Mechanical insulation has many different uses and application methods depending on what outcome you are trying to achieve and is a critical component when striving for improving efficiency, reducing energy consumption, controlling temperature and condensation, and protecting equipment from damage caused by temperature fluctuations, moisture or corrosion.

NIS offers mechanical insulation services in two main service lines: Industrial Insulation and Commercial Insulation.

Industrial Insulation

NIS has experience offering insulation services for industrial projects such as refineries, power plants, oil fields and pipelines where it is critical to maintain desired temperatures for operations, protect assets from corrosion and fire, and conserve energy. We use a variety of different insulation materials, such as rock wool, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and aluminum and stainless-steel metal jacketing, to achieve optimal performance of the heat recovery, exhaust, piping and domestic water systems.

Commercial Insulation

Commercial insulation is more commonly used in office buildings, restaurants and hospitals, providing temperature regulation, energy efficiency, acoustic dampening, moisture resistance and fire protection benefits to systems such as pipes, air and exhaust ducts, HVACs and boilers. NIS uses a variety of materials, including fiberglass, foam and metal jacketing to achieve the desired results for each mechanical system, resulting in long-term health and performance of the systems.
